What's In Season: Peaches
As July winds down, we’re holding on to summer’s sweetness with one of our favorite seasonal stars: the peach. Ripe, juicy, and full of sunshine, peaches capture everything we love about this time of year — and we’re savoring every last bite and sip.
To celebrate, we’re highlighting the iconic peach in both dessert and drink form, with a delicious duo that’s bursting with flavor.
This month’s cake from Tum Tum is a true ode to peach season. It starts with a light, fragrant olive oil sponge, layered with yellow peach compote and finished with a luscious fig leaf oil buttercream.
Tessa of Tum Tum says it best:
“Peaches in mid to late summer are magical. A tree-ripened peach is juicy, sweet, and floral. I love peach with an olive oil sponge or almond chiffon.”
We couldn’t agree more. The cake balances brightness with depth, floral notes with rich creaminess — a perfect match for the July sun.
