Hawaiʻi-Inspired Color Palettes We Love
From the lush green hues of the mountains to the dreamy blush tones of a Hawaiian sunset, we love taking inspiration from the beautiful shades of the islands. Here are a few combinations that we worked with–and can’t get enough of.
Tropical Palm Green
This neutral-toned palette is inspired by the idyllic Hawaiian country landscape: palm trees, baby blue skies, and wide-open fields. We love the use of the deep monstera green as an accent (or even focal) color for your centerpieces, with the more soft-spoken hues–the baby blues, light grey, or beige–used for your bouquet, table settings, or your wedding party attire. Effortless, harmonious, and unwittingly androgynous, we think we can safely call this palette the 21st-century “Blue Hawaiʻi.”
Bright and Bohemian
If you didn’t think a bright ‘awapuhi fuschia and neutral-toned greens and blues could mesh–we would argue that they most definitely could turn a plain palette into one that makes a statement. Taking inspiration from the bold hues from the island’s tropical flora and fauna, we love the idea of balancing these rich tones for your table and wedding party accents, with the more subtle tones for your chairs, invites, and everything in between.
Luxury Bohemian Wicker and Green
Don’t be fooled by the muted tones, this palette is the modern-day lux. Think Lay Low Waikīkī meets Kualoa Ranch, we love the idea of having the lush greens and wicker hues as the focal hues of the evening, with a nearly all-white tablescape, ceremony, and beyond. We would like to think this is a Hawaiʻi rendition of the all-white-everything wedding trend that has enthralled the wedding world for quite a while.
Blushes and Greens
This palette is equal parts island lush and a Nicholas Sparks romance–and is perhaps the perfect combination for a destination wedding set in Hawaiʻi. We love to pair dark brown wood with blush pink, cream, and deep green for an ultra dreamy tablescape that has us falling in love every time.
Kualoa Hues
Dedicated to the dramatic Koʻolau mountain range, the lush panoramic views, and a venue that we know and love–the ”Kualoa Hues” palette is composed of the many shades of Kualoa Ranch. Use the midnight blue as your accent color (groom’s tux, centerpiece details) and the natural shades of green as a complimenting hue (table setting accents, a bouquet of greenery). We especially love the simplicity and regality of the color combination–and definitely suggest it if you’re thinking of having your dream destination wedding at this iconic venue.
