5 Ways to Elevate Your Wedding Tablescape
If you couldn’t already tell from our Instagram feed, our hearts absolutely skip a beat for dreamy, detailed tablescapes that are not only picture-perfect, but also incorporate personal touches that make for an unforgettable reception space.
Linens, blooms, and mood lighting–oh my! When it comes to styling, we are firm believers that a styled tablescape is one of the most fun and impactful components of the wedding design. It not only serves as a dreamy introduction to your reception space, but also sets the tone for the rest of your celebration.
Whether you want to stay with the traditional blooms, candlelights, and linens route or you want to incorporate personal touches–from agates for the stone-enthusiasts to your favorite fruits because you just love the way they look–we think that the possibilities are absolutely endless here.
Here are a few tried-and-true ways to elevate your tablescape design:
Opting for Farm Tables + Upgraded Chairs
One of the easiest ways to start off a dreamy tablescape, is to start with an elevated canvas. The vintage combination exudes a rustic and elegant vibe that are so easy to dress up. Add a chiffon or floral runner with some moody lighting and we’re swooning.
Incorporate Texture and Embrace a Color Palette
In all parts of the wedding design, incorporating varying textures and colors creates an eye-catching sophistication that will wow your guests. Once you decide on a color palette that feels right to you, play around with the shades and possibilities! Don’t worry about being matchy-matchy with the colors and combine textured blooms with a softer texture from a chiffon runner or ribbon–interlaying these varied elements will create an unforgettable and visually pleasing tablescape.
Styled Glassware and Flatware
Odds are you’ll already need a water glass and a toasting glass for your guests, so might as well include some cute colored goblets and water glasses that go with your wedding color palette. Choosing gold flatware (our fave!) also is an easy way to elevate your tablescape design, giving the setting a real vintage and finished look.
Mood Lighting
Between vintage candlesticks to tea lights, we are huge advocates for a classic candlelit table. It’s one easy way to build your tablescape, as well as create a moody and romantic ambiance for your guests (and yourselves!). Utilizing candlesticks is also a great way to add height to your tablescape design.
Think Tall
Another dramatic way to elevate your tablescape is to incorporate hanging florals or lights. If you plan on having a tented reception, adding vaulted elements are a definite possibility for embellishing your reception space. Between wicker chandeliers, hanging floral installations, or vaulted string lei, the sky is the limit when it comes to wedding design.
