Why you Should Consider a Weekday Wedding
With more and more couples needing to reschedule their special day, weekday weddings are becoming a more feasible option for more than a few reasons.
If you’re thinking about postponing your wedding, the one dilemma that you–and inevitably most couples will face–is finding the new, perfect date to hold your special day. In this new era post-COVID-19, we are embracing the idea of a weekday wedding as a new norm (and it’s not just because of purely practical reasons, either).
Here are a few reasons why we think you should totally consider a weekday wedding.
You can get married sooner than later
Knock on wood, but if you’re thinking about having a wedding on the weekend this year at your same venue, odds are the weekend dates will probably be taken up. If you’re anxious to get married (which we totally understand!), a weekday date will make it easier to match up a date that all of your vendors will be able to work.
Save money that you can devote to your new, lavish honeymoon plans
Certain venues and vendors have weekday pricing that you can take advantage of! Take the extra hundreds (or even thousands) of dollars that you saved by having a weekend wedding and spend it on a couples spa day, an adventurous excursion, or a fancy five-course dinner–you deserve it.
Make it a weekend affair
If you’re considering a Friday wedding, invite your VIP guests to a morning-after brunch to have a proper recap of your unforgettable evening, or have your loved ones join you and your new wife/husband at a casual backyard BBQ. Turn your wedding day bliss into an entire weekend of new memories with the people that mean the most to you.
Yes, your most important guests will be there
The natural first question about any wedding date is “Will the people who mean most to me be able to come?” Our guess is, “Yes.” We are sure that the guests who mean the most to you will make every effort to make your (new) special day, and in the “work-from-home” era, most might not even have to take off of work! Even if some might not be able to attend, there are more than a few virtual ways to share your special moments that even your oldest guests might be familiar with now.
