Meet Monique: Our Director of Events who is our logistics guru, go-to designer, and master of orchestrating even the most elaborate celebrations! Stay tuned as we share a little bit more about our wedding planning team leading up to our 10th (yes 10th!) anniversary.
Favorite moment on wedding day?
Sending the bride down the aisle. Even if the couple decides to do a first-look prior to the ceremony, there is something about seeing the bride walk down the aisle that gives me all the feels!
What would you say is your own strength as a planner?
Attention to detail. During wedding day setups, I’ll ask vendors to move things around to ensure they are symmetrical, aligned, and reflect the layout as closely as possible.
Favorite Hawaiʻi wedding venue?
Kualoa Ranch on Oʻahu
Sugar Beach on Maui
Hale Wailele on the Big Island
Design must?
Upgrade at least one rental item on the reception tables: plate, napkin, menu card, flatware, glassware. It will really help elevate the overall design!
Favorite memory at FTG?
Some of my favorite memories and when we are traveling together— We’ve traveled to other islands, Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, New York, and Kansas City! Though we are traveling for work, we always find time for a few fun activities and adventures!
Guilty pleasure?
Mac and cheese, chicken nuggies, and a bottle of wine (girlllllll dinnnerrrrrrr lol)
Favorite date night restaurant in Hawaiʻi?
Istanbul, Et Al, Goen, Banzai Sushi Bar, and Olive Tree

What is _____'s strength as a planner?
Alyssa: She’s my go-to person to hype up my clients with her warm smile, infectious laugh, and positive attitude! Not to mention, she’s a pro at walking couples though cake cutting!
Marisa: She’s very personable and does a great job of creating relationships with clients and vendors! She’s also great at assisting with family portraits and guiding the bride and groom through couples portraits!
Richel: She’s very creative and intentional with all of her designs. She loves finding ways to intertwine couples love stories into their wedding day through design!
