Finding Your Wedding Style

This is one of the first things you’ll need to decide on as you’re starting to think about your wedding design, but sometimes it may not be super obvious to yourself. Start by going on a wedding pinning spree and see if you can get an overall theme when looking at all of the pins together. If you’re stumped, have your best friends take a look at them, and they’ll surely be able to pick out a key theme that will resonate with your design preference.

Color Palette Inspo

The next step to refining your wedding design is finding the color palette that speaks to your love story. Think about the time of year you’ll be getting married, any color preferences you and your fiance may already have, and the color palette of your potential venue. Browse through pins with some color palette options you have in mind–and after that, and you’ll definitely be able to choose some key colors that your wedding planner can play around with!

Specific Design Points

After you find your theme and color palette, you’ll be able to hone in on the specifics of your special day. Make boards for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and start pinning design aspects that you envision for your day (ceremony arches and florals, reception table design, dessert table ideas, the list goes on and on!). These will serve as super helpful reference photos for your wedding planner!
