Richel Cole | Founder

Richel Cole founded For the Good in 2013 and, by 2017, had been named The Knot’s Best Wedding Planner. As our team’s lead wedding planner and event designer, Richel has her hands on every celebration we’re lucky enough to plan—getting to know couples personally and ensuring we give them the party they’ve always dreamt of, while always making the process fun along the way.

With a background in marketing and public relations, Richel is an absolute guru when it comes to organization and effective communication—allowing her to seamlessly manage any last-minute crisis or event hurdle. She believes nothing is more rewarding than the process of wedding planning—acting as a couple’s strongest advocate and support-system for months, and then watching the celebration of their love story unfold on the day of. She calls it “pure magic” (and we couldn’t agree more).

One of Richel’s greatest passions outside of wedding planning is philanthropy. She is an avid community advocate and volunteer and, in 2011, was awarded the President of the United States Volunteer Award. She works everyday to ensure she gives back to both the couples she’s fortunate to work with and the island she’s lucky to call home.

  • Favorite part of working with the For the Good team: I’ve assembled my dream team of the best wedding planners in Hawaii—and now I get to work with them every single day. What’s not to love?

  • Favorite part of being a wedding planner: I love being able to help people plan such a special moment in their lives!

  • Fun Facts: I’m fluent in sign language (shoutout, college curriculum!), have two super cute cats (I know—I’m biased), and am fiercely loyal to the people and things I care about (I’ve only ever driven a Nissan Rogue).
